Punjab Police Constable Recruitment 2026 Eligibilty Criteria
Candidates must meet the following educational and physical standards to be eligible for the Punjab Police Constable Recruitment 2026
Educational Qualification
- For General Candidates: 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Education Board/University.
- For Ex-Servicemen: Matriculation (10th Pass).
- Mandatory Qualification: Must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects, or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi specified by the Punjab Government.
(Qualifications must be attained on or before January 1st, 2026).

Punjab Police Constable Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process consists of three stages.
Stage-I: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Paper-I: 100 marks (General Awareness, Quant, Reasoning, English, Punjabi, Digital Literacy). This determines merit.
- Paper-II: 50 marks (Qualifying Punjabi Language paper – Matric standard). Must score 50% to qualify.
Stage-II: Physical Screening Test (PST) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
- These tests are qualifying in nature. Candidates must pass all events as per their category.
Stage-III: Document Scrutiny
