Punjab Revenue Department Recruitment 2026 eligibility

Each post has different education and experience requirements. Read carefully before applying.

Project Coordinator

Education: Master’s in Engineering, Business Administration, Development Studies, or Social Work. OR Bachelor’s in Engineering, Science, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 5 years implementing and coordinating projects related to Central or State Government programmes or public/private sector schemes. Proven record in data analysis, project management, and leadership.

Age Limit: Up to 45 years as on the last date of application.

Expert (Land Administration)

Education: Eligibility is based on service record, no specific degree required.

Experience: Retired Civil Service Officers with at least 10 years of experience in land administration, revenue, registration, consolidation, or survey.

Age Limit: Up to 70 years as on the date of application.

Manager (Geospatial Technology)

Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Geomatics Engineering, or related fields from a recognised university. GATE qualification and GIS certification (ArcGIS, QGIS) desirable.

Experience: At least 5 years managing and executing GIS or geospatial projects. Proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, and related tools for spatial data processing and mapping.

Age Limit: Up to 35 years as on the date of application.

Programmer (MIS and GIS Developer)

Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering or Science, preferably Computer Science or Information Technology. Master’s in Computer Science or IT is desirable.

Experience: Minimum 5 years in database administration including design, implementation, optimisation, and maintenance. Proficiency in GIS-based software tool development.

Age Limit: Up to 35 years as on the date of application.

GIS Technical Expert

Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering or Master’s in Computer Applications, Geo-informatics, or related fields. Master’s in Engineering is desirable.

Experience: Minimum 5 years in developing GIS-based software tools. Demonstrated proficiency in designing, developing, and implementing GIS solutions.

Age Limit: Up to 35 years as on the date of application.

Remote Sensing Analyst

Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering or Master’s in Computer Applications, Geo-informatics, or related fields. Master’s in Engineering is desirable.

Experience: Minimum 5 years maintaining High Resolution Satellite Imageries using ERDAS Imagine, LPS, QGIS, or ArcGIS. Proficiency in ortho rectification, mosaicking, and satellite data analysis.

Age Limit: Up to 35 years as on the date of application.

Data Entry Operator

Education: Bachelor’s degree in any stream.

Experience: Minimum 2 years with proficient typing skills in English or Punjabi.

Age Limit: Up to 35 years as on the date of application.

Typing Test: Minimum 30 words per minute with 90% accuracy. Qualifying the typing test is mandatory.

Punjab Revenue Department Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

Punjab Revenue Department 2026 selection is based on a total of 100 marks. The process has two main stages.

Shortlisting (Screening Marks)

Candidates are shortlisted based on marks for educational qualification and length of relevant experience. Only the top 50 candidates per post are called for interview. For Data Entry Operator, there is no interview. Final selection is based on education and experience marks plus the mandatory typing test.

Interview (25 Marks)

Shortlisted candidates appear for a technical or general interaction. Parameters assessed include understanding of the scheme, technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and stakeholder coordination.

Technical Certifications (5 Marks, for GIS Posts)

Candidates with valid GIS-related certifications such as IIRS-ISRO, CDAC Geomatics, GATE, QGIS Proficiency, or ArcGIS Enterprise get up to 5 additional marks during screening.

Important: Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate application for each post. Only Indian nationals are eligible. Candidates with degrees from foreign universities must produce an AIU equivalency certificate. Distance learning (ODL) qualifications are not eligible.
