Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree: A degree of Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) or equivalent from a recognized university.

Punjab and Haryana High Court clerk Recruitment Selection Process 2026
The selection of candidates for Clerk posts will be based on a multi-stage process. Candidates must qualify for each stage.
Online Written Examination (Computer Based Test – CBT): 2 hours duration.
- General Knowledge: 50 objective questions (50 marks). Qualifying marks: 33%.
- English Composition: 50 objective questions (20 marks) + Subjective (Essay, Letter, Precis, Translation – 30 marks). Qualifying marks: 33% in each subject.
- Overall Qualifying Marks: 40% aggregate.
- Note: Negative marking of 1/4th mark for wrong answers in MCQ section.
Computer Proficiency Test (CPT – Qualifying only):
- Part-I: Spread Sheet Test (10 marks, 10 minutes) – need 40% (4 marks) to qualify.
- Part-II: Typing Test in English at 30 WPM (Qualifying only).
