FCRI Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification – Research Engineer
- B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience in the specific specialization applied for; OR
- M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (with relevant specialization) and 3 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 65% marks in the qualifying degree (60% for SC/ST category candidates applying against reserved posts).
- The Bachelor’s/Master’s degree must be a full-time regular course from a UGC-recognized Indian University, UGC-recognized Deemed University, or AICTE-approved course from an autonomous Indian institution.
- Desirable qualification for the Fluid Flow Research specialization: Ph.D.
- Detailed specialization-specific experience requirements (e.g., two-phase/multi-phase flow research, CFD in thermal and fluids engineering, design and testing of valves, fluid flow research) are given in the detailed notification at www.fcriindia.com.
Educational Qualification – Junior Research Engineer
- B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical/Electrical & Electronics, or Instrumentation-related Engineering, as per the post code applied for.
- Minimum 65% marks in the qualifying degree (60% for SC/ST category candidates applying against reserved posts).
- Freshers may apply for the post of Junior Research Engineer; no prior work experience is required.
- Candidates awaiting final results of their qualifying degree may also apply, provided they upload final marksheets and degree certificates on or before 31.08.2026, along with an online undertaking; failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of candidature.
