Age Limit, Vacancy Details, and Qualification

Age Limit: The age limit for India Post GDS Recruitment 2026 is 18-40 Years. The cutoff date for the calculation of the age limit is 21.09.2026. Age Relaxation will be given as per the rules.

Physical & Service Standards

• Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA):
  • Branch Postmaster (BPM): Rs. 12,000/- to Rs. 29,380/-
  • ABPM / Dak Sevak: Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 24,470/-
• Working Hours: Minimum 4 hours and maximum 5 hours per day.
• Accommodation & Residence: Selected BPMs must arrange accommodation for running the Branch Post Office at their own cost and reside within the post village. ABPMs and Dak Sevaks must reside within the delivery jurisdiction of the concerned Post Office.
• Mandatory Declarations: Applicants must possess basic knowledge of computers, cycling, and have adequate alternative means of livelihood.
